Garden Workshops for the NCSC 2012 season
Garden Planning for 2012 - Your Outline for a Productive Year
$10/$15 (non-members) or $80/$100 for the series

Session 5: Mid May    5/15/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Planting and transplanting.   Some plants do best sown directly into the ground,    others need to be started inside and then transplanted.  Learn the tricks of doing it right!

Session 6: 6/19/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Garden maintenance – what it takes to keep the garden growing well and producing          through the season.  Includes weeding/mulching, disease and insect management.

Session 7:    7/17/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Harvest the garden!  What to do with all the food that you’ve grown. 

Session 8:  8/14/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Developing a green and healthy lawn.  What it takes to eliminate pesticides and     chemical fertilizers and still enjoy looking out your windows.  September is the        time to             make real lawn changes

Session 9:  9/4/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Permanent agriculture –what is it and can it work for home gardeners.  Introducing edible             trees, shrubs and perennials to the classic vegetable garden.

Session 10: 9/18/12, 6:30pm-7: 30pm
Garden assessment:  What worked, what didn’t and what are the plans for 2013.  September and October are the perfect months for long-term garden development.  Use these brilliant months well!
